Shape Scavenger Hunt
Today we started a new math unit on geometry and arrays'! We talked about the words vertex, angles, sides, and parallel. After talking about shapes and exploring the attributes and examples of different shapes, we used magazines for a shape Scavenger Hunt. Students had to find different 3-sided, 4-sided, 5-sided, and 6-sided shapes. They cut them out and glued them onto a blank piece of paper then identified what shapes they are!

1st Grade's Country Presentations
Today we went and saw 1st grade's hard work on researching different countries. Each student researched a different country and created a brochure about their country. They presented the information as people approached their table. After presenting their research, people were able to ask them questions and read the books they had.
Great job, 1st grade!
